Dr. Michelle Perrin Blair conducts NTSO’s season-opening Nature concert, kicking off the orchestra’s 23rd season, ROOTS.
The New Texas Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–2027 “Roots” season with Nature, a musical exploration of the forces that nourish, protect, sustain, and sometimes overwhelm us.
The program includes Lisa Neher’s Twister, Takashi Yoshimatsu’s And Birds Are Still, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral.”
Through storms, birdsong, and Beethoven’s enduring tribute to the countryside, Nature examines humanity’s connection to the natural world and the roots that ground all living things.
