About the New Texas Symphony Orchestra

The New Texas Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is the Premier Community Orchestra of Dallas. Located in proximity to the vibrant Dallas Performing Arts district, this civic orchestra provides both performers and audiences inspired opportunities to play and enjoy great symphonic music.

The orchestra is led by Conductor and Artistic Director Kathryn D. Brown, who is the founder of the NTSO and who has been active in the local performing arts community for years.

The NTSO has completed our inaugural season with great success as an independent organization. Among the milestones during this first year of performing our Season of Symphonies, we also attained our 501(c)(3) accreditation as a public charity. We look forward to this Season, presenting Bohemian Rhapsodies- Exploring Europe Through Music, as we continue to grow and strive to provide the best possible musical experience to our patrons and audiences. Upcoming Events

Project BACH

The NTSO is please to announce our community outreach program to help bring orchestra music to children from underserved communities who might not normally get a chance to hear it. The NTSO has created a program that provides complimentary tickets to events along with the ability to meet orchestra members and even to find music mentors.

To kick-off the first capital campaign of the year, we will are offering an extraordinary treat. Joanna Zeller Quentin of Moose Pants Studio has designed our concert season poster this year and it is without a doubt, one of our best ever!
