The NTSO is comprised of musicians of remarkable talent. While most do not play for professional orchestras, many are very actively involved in the classical music industry as teachers, conductors, or players. In this section we will profile some of our musicians so you can learn more about the people who make our beautiful music.
Profile - William Kirsner - Horn Player

Bill Kirsner has played the french horn for over 30 years since junior high school in Sylvania Ohio. Bill graduated from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut with a degree with High Honors in History. At Wesleyan, Bill played Horn in the Orchestra and played in several small ensembles. Bill also took music classes including a class on conducting. After college, Bill attended the Ohio State University, College of Law, and graduated with a degree with Honors in Law.
Currently, Bill works in the Dallas Regional Office of the Office of the General Counsel of the Federal Labor Relations Authority here he investigates and prosecutes unfair labor practice charges and conducts trainings for employers and union representatives.
When not working or tooting his own horn, Bill is usually found playing golf and notes the many similarities between golf and music including the every changing dynamics . . . even if one is playing the same piece or on the same course . . . and that most people plateau at a certain playing level in both golf and music, while some are able to constantly challenge themselves to improve. In golf, like in music, there are limitless opportunities for improvement.
Are you ready to challenge yourself? If so, consider joining the NTSO!
